COFFEE CONSULTING FOR START-UPS

  • Our start-up consulting services are intended for those who are new on the (specialty) coffee scene. You may have expertise managing your own company, but our advice focuses on the hospitality and specialty coffee industries.

    In order for us to maintain track of all the specifics and provide guidance as needed, it is advisable to get in touch with us before your “grand opening”. Discover our work method in the next “content” section (below).

  • Step 1: let’s talk

    Professional guidance that is specifically tailored to you implies that we first listen to your story. We capitalize on your strengths and remove any obstacles. We create a custom action plan based on your aspirations, goals, and expectations.

    Step 2: preparation time

    We start designing your coffee menu with the help of our handy templates you customize. With your menu, we can decide what machinery is needed and how to implement these on the counter for optimal workflow. When all machines are placed, we can start the practical barista training sessions.

    Step 3: barista training

    The barista profession and "hospitality" in general are both covered in depth in this intense hands-on training. We will teach you and your team the three most crucial barista skills over the course of several sessions, including:

    1. the significance of consistency while producing quality coffee

    2. recipies, brewing methods and latte art

    3. working more quickly and efficient to improve service.

    We concentrate on enhancing both customer service and coffee quality.

    Session 3: Barista Knowledge, Skills & Service

    Session 4: Barista Recap

    Each 3-hour practical barista training session is recommended for the entire crew to attend.

    Starts from $ 1500, includes the prep. time and 3 barista sessions* on the spot.

HOSPITALITY BARISTA TRAINING FOR YOUR TEAM!

  • Our hospitality barista training is intended for restaurants, hotels, and coffee shops that already have staff members and would like to see them specialize in making coffee and providing excellent customer service. Customers are becoming more and more critical of the coffee offered as Specialty Coffee spreads across the globe. If your staff could use some assistance with quick service, lovely latte art, and customer service, sign up for our barista training.

  • Before beginning the barista training, we evaluate your specific needs. You can choose to put extra focus on a particular barista theme:

    espresso technique (adjusting grinder, extraction time, dosing using timer and scale)

    latte art (free pour/etching)

    slow coffee (= filter coffee)

    cupping (= coffee tasting)

    workflow (= combining orders for speedy service)

    coffee menu suggestions (seasonal: ice coffee, coffee cocktails, ...)

    We give you a handy coffee menu worksheet that serves as a useful reference throughout the hands-on training session (min. 3 hours). Your staff receives training in your bar, where they can practice using the equipment to its fullest potential. And of course, you’re welcome to join in!
